Birthing couples in the South Bay have several options for choosing a homebirth midwife.  We are so lucky to have some really amazing and experienced homebirth midwives right here in our backyard!


Your midwife is responsible for the medical wellbeing of mother and baby.  She is trained and capable to deliver your baby and to identify the need for transfer to hospital.  The need for hospital transfer is very low since at a home birth the mother's labor is not interfered with or augmented with medications which in turn cause a need for further interventions.
